On September 8-13, 2019, the 14th International Conference on Mercury as a Global Pollutant took place in Krakow, concerning the sources and emissions of mercury, its impact on the environment and human health. 700 scientists, representatives of industry, business and administration of various levels from 68 countries participated in it. There were 290 oral presentations and 450 poster presentations. Moreover, 12 scientific workshops were organized, in which 260 young scientists participated. The accompanying events during the so-called Public Open Day, where it was possible to measure the concentration of mercury in the hair and in the exhaled air. About 300 people took advantage of them.
