From 17-22 August 2014, the international SPEC 2014 conference was held at the Holiday Inn Krakow City Centre Hotel: "Shedding New Light on Disease". The proceedings focused on the development of modern applications of vibrational spectroscopy and a critical review of the associated challenges in the broader context of the latest technological developments. The congress was highlighted by a welcome party at the City Council Hall and a banquet at the Royal Castle in Niepołomice.
