On September 3-6, 2017, the Congress of the Polish Society of Laboratory Diagnostics was held at the International Trade Fair and Congress Center EXPO Krakow. It was the largest and most important scientific event in the Society's activities, combined with the General Assembly of Delegates and the election of the PTDL authorities for the next term of office.
About 1,400 participants took part in the event. The 19th PTDL Congress was accompanied by the POLMEDLAB 2017 exhibition presenting the current offer of companies operating on the IVD market in Poland, which gathered 54 exhibitors. The scientific program of the 19th PTDL Congress included 15 thematic sessions, 4 plenary lectures, company workshops and poster sessions. The topics of the conference focused on the advances in laboratory medicine important from the point of view of science and everyday practice, including dynamically developing areas of laboratory diagnostics, such as metabolomics, lipidomyocardia and pharmacogenomics, which are the basis of personalized medicine.
